Beige Book

The “Summary of Commentary on Current Economic Conditions”, commonly known as the Beige Book, is a report published eight times per year by the Federal Reserve Board of the United States. On it each one of the 12 Federal Reserve Banks gathers anecdotal information on the current economic conditions in its District.

The Beige Book is published just before the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting on interest rates and is used to inform the members on changes in the economy since the last meeting.
